MALADROXIA BEACH

Probably the best known beach in Sant'Antioco: it offers a deep seabed of fine, golden sand, hemmed by rock-cliff and rocks, sloping gently to the sea, crystal and shallow waters, allowing children to play in safety, and true Caribbean colours.

Located on the eastcoastline of Sant'Antioco, the stunning panorama is dominated by the eastern coast of the Gulf of Palmas, ending to Capo Teulada. In the area behind the beach, the town of the same name just in front of the sea, with its villas, gardens, pools, and a hill surmounted by the nuraghe S'Ega 'e Marteddu.

The water here is particularly warm, because of two thermal springs, one located underwater, in shallow waters, known in ancient times by Romans, and useful to treat different diseases. The equipped beach has many facilities: it is possible to rent beach umbrellas, sun-loungers and pedal boats; children playground (for more info www.penelope-beach.it).

It has wheelchair access, a large car park, and some trees in the back for natural shadow in hottest days. It is possible to buy foods and drinks at the beach side shops, or directly on the beach. Some hotels, cafes, restaurants, complete the offer.

Specially in August and weekends Maladroxia attracts a lot of visitors. The evenings are busy too, with lively atmosphere, music, and activities. This is an ideal holiday for people who like entertainment.
