Lavender stoechas hydrolat

Lavender stoechas was probably used by the ancient Romans to perfume their baths. Until the middle of the 18th Century, lavender stoechas was used medicinally in England. It is an unusual lavender, quite different from other lavender species. Lavender stoechas is slightly more camphoraceous. It is also known as stoke lavender, or Spanish lavender. Its essential oils contain a high percentage of ketones: for this reason it is said to be not safe. But hydrolat is more safer: it can stimulate circulation and the immune system, mucus solving and therefore it is good for respiratory infections; it can help with cellulite and insects bites; smooth muscle relaxing. It is used in baths and in aromatherapy. It can also been used as a deodorant and an insecticide, also in places where your pets live.

Notes:

Ketonic oils should always be used with caution. Do not use during pregnancy or breast feeding. Use in moderation. Refrigerate, or store in a cool place after opening for best results.
